Bawden Rd / Douglas Rd trail

2. Scout Camp to Bawden Road / Douglas Road - 1.4km, 25mins, Easy to Moderate

You now enter Macedon Regional Park. Follow the arrows east. Shortly after crossing the shallow creek, turn left and begin walking uphill. After some time, follow the arrow pointing left. At the embankment, climb the stairs and cross Bawden Road. Over the road there is another wooden staircase leading to the top of the embankment.

Railway station to Old Scout Camp trail

Cross to Cameron trail

Walk towards the Tearooms, turn left and follow the walking track sign to the Western Lookout loop, with views of Woodend and the surrounding areas.

2.2KM - Moderate to Difficult

The goat track

The track runs parallel with the road for a short distance before zigzagging up the southern face of Mount Macedon

2.7KM - Easy to Moderate

Cameron to Camels Hump trail

1.4KM - Easy

Camels Hump/Clyde Track trail

1.4KM - Easy

Clyde track to Alton Rd trail

Follow the descending track through the remnant stand of wet Messmate/gum forest through the plantation areas to Alton Road.

2.8KM - Easy

Alton Rd to Douglas Rd trail

4.7KM - Easy

Bawden Rd to Macedon Railway trail

1.3KM - Easy

Zig zag Rd to Hemphills trail

1.8KM - Easy to Moderate

Camels Hump to Days trail

1.5KM - Easy

Hemphills to Mount Towrong trail

1.5KM - Difficult

Mount Towrong to ANZAC Road trail

Memorial Cross

The most significant war memorial in Victoria after the Shrine of Remembrance. At 21m tall, the cross is a truly amazing monument.
